Transplant units

We have two transplant units in the East Midlands one in Nottingham and one in Leicester, The TYA team will continue to  support patients whilst they are inpatients on a Transplant unit.

James Skillington Teenage Cancer Trust on Fletcher Ward

Fletcher Ward is an 18 bed Bone Marrow Transplant Unit which has 3 rooms specifically designed for Teenagers & Young Adults undergoing intensive treatment. Due to specific medical requirements some patients will need to have their chemotherapy/ bone marrow transplant on Fletcher Ward.

Leicester Royal Infirmary

The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU)

BMTU is a 4 bed, Transplant Unit which has 1 room specifically designed for Teenagers & Young Adults undergoing intensive treatment. 

Due to specific medical requirements some patients will need to have their chemotherapy / bone marrow transplant on BMTU.
